This will be my last post.  Again I say thank you to everyone who has commented, visited, and subscribed.  I genuinely appreciate it.  I really enjoyed sharing my opinions and listening to yours.  If you would like to continue to stay in touch with me, I am always available on AIM (rawk sauce), email, and through my personal Xanga.

It isn't over until it's over, as I am fond of saying, and now I can finally say it's over.  As you undoubtedly know, Kerry has conceded after losing his run for the presidency.

And he really did lose.  It's not debatable.  It wasn't even all that close.

My advice to you is to remain optimistic about the future.  I hope that George W. Bush will see how close he came to losing and use it as a reality check, perhaps becoming more moderate.  He knows, as we know, that what he needs to do right now more than anything is fulfill his 2000 campaign promise to be a uniter, not a divider.  I think it would be beneficial at this point for both political parties to start working together in a synergistic effort, rather than butting heads all the time.

Now, personally, do I really think that will ever happen?  No.  Do I think anything's going to change?  No.

Do I think the country's going to hell in a handbasket?  Yes.

However, this time Bush has won with both the popular vote and the electoral college vote.  The majority of America thinks he's doing a good job and wants more of the same.  I can yell and scream and cry and call Bush names, but that's not going to do a blessed thing.  Bush has won legitimately and there is nothing anyone can do.

Therefore, my advice to the anti-Bush/pro-Kerry/democratic/liberal crowd is to take our cue from John and accept the loss gracefully.   As I write this I am watching Kerry's concession speech, and I must say never have I been prouder to support this man.  He does not speak negatively, he is not bitter.  He is genuinely appreciative for the honor of coming in second.

The last thing I want to tell you is always remember.  Remember what happened on November 2nd to a man who was brave and wise, well-read, well-spoken, and well-educated.  Remember a man who stepped up to the challenge of the most prestigious and difficult job in the world, the man who had a plan to help the country he loved, the man who sacrificed what he had worked for his whole life to serve America.  Remember John Kerry.

Well...I've had enough.  I'm going to bed.

I still stand firm in my original thought- whatever will come, will come, and we will have to meet it when it does.  No matter what, the world will not end.  Tomorrow will always come, and no matter who is president, life will go on.

Not even considering the winner of the presidential race, which I don't know right now, I think this has been one of the most disillusioning nights of my entire life, and I'll never forget it.  I had honestly never truly considered the possibility of Bush winning, which is why I think I'm so shocked right now.

The plan has always been for this site to come down after the official winner is declared, no matter who it is- that's most likely tomorrow.  I would like to thank everyone for their support of this site- all of the comments and the over 100 subscribers.  I loved running it and I hope you came away from it at least slightly more enlightened than you did before.

See you tomorrow.

Well, for Florida, Mel Martinez just gave a victory speech for a Senate seat he hasn't won yet.

In case you don't know him, "Mel Martinez" is what we call Satan when he comes up to our world.  He is the most evil creature on the planet.  And there he is on my TV thanking the voters and accepting his new job even though he hasn't technically won yet- Betty Castor has still tied him 50-50.

God, we are sofuct.

I actually feel physically ill.

Stay strong.

Florida went to Bush, as I always knew it would (You can have your polls, but I live here, OK?  I knew what was going to go down.)

Ohio is still a possibility.

It's not over yet.

So right at this second, it's 102-77 Bush...but this could still go either way, as the man on ABC keeps saying over, and over, and over.  Ten more minutes of these talking heads trying to make something out of nothing ("Well, if Bush gets this state...Kerry will need this state...", "It's a dead heat right now!", "People are still voting, so it's anyone's guess right now...", and of course, "Back to you, random guy we picked off the street to fill up 5 minutes of dead air") and I'm watching Sex and the City.

Some entertainment: I just had to post this, because it made me laugh so hard.  This is a comment left by a 14 year old girl:
